Hunters Creek, originally a place of logging camps and sawmills, was incorporated in 1954 in a strategic move to prevent annexation by the ever-expanding city of Houston. From its humble beginnings, it has grown to be the wealthiest community in Texas.

Spring Branch Independent School District serves most of Hunters Creek Village. Students north of Buffalo Bayou are zoned to Hunters Creek Elementary School or Memorial Drive Elementary School, Spring Branch Middle School and Memorial High School.  

Students south of Buffalo Bayou  are assigned to Houston Independent School District and zoned to Briargrove Elementary School, Tanglewood Middle School and Wisdom High School.  

There are seven parks in Hunters Creek that are available to all residents of the village. You can find parks that offer playgrounds and picnic areas, as well as parks that offer fields and courts for various sports, walking paths, community buildings, restrooms and dog parks. If golf is your game, head across Buffalo Bayou to the Houston Country Club. 

There are many trails located in and passing through Hunters Creek Village for walking, hiking, running and biking. You can choose from a trail at Baker Road Pocket Park that is just under a half-mile in length, to the 47 mile long Brays Bayou Greenway Trail, with trails of varying lengths in between those two extremes. 

Park Laureate is a residential building located on Memorial Drive in Hunters Creek Village. It is centrally situated to all the Memorial Villages and offers convenient access to nearby shopping, dining and service locations. It features sustainable green features and many amenities for the comfort and enjoyment of tenants. 

Local favorite dining establishments near Hunters Creek include Credence, located in Memorial, which serves New American cuisine. Da O’n in Spring Branch specializes in Korean dishes. Latuli is a favorite seafood restaurant located in Memorial.
